East Yancey Middle School is a small, rural middle school located on the east end of Burnsville, our county seat.  Yancey County is the gateway to Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak east of the Mississippi River.  We serve three elementary feeder schools:  Micaville, South Toe, and Burnsville.
